Hey Dr. TamGirl:
A really good eye cream. Let me tell you the BEST eye cream EVER. I know i'm militant about this but I use castor oil at night. i pat it on my under eyes at night and i wake up with really fresh, well rested under eyes. As for a good day cream, I really just look for basic moisturizing properties. I've found that this really helps over expecting it to work miracles. Olay's prox eye cream is actually the best thing in the line and i like it very very much.
2. I like monistat anti chafing gel. Yes i know, it's mad but it really helps, lasts forever, and is cheap and accesible. Otherwise, I really like smashbox photofinish primer (very similar to monistat btw)and MAC's prep and prime.
3. This is how I do the sunscreen thing: moisturizer with spf (I use LRP), then a primer, then powder foundation. In the summer I'd say go ahead and get a tinted moisturizer with spf as it saves a bit of time.

I LOVE beautiful red lipsticks which have some serious show-stopping effect to them. Try something like MAC Ruby Woo, NARS Red Lizard, NARS Fire Down Below, or besame noir red. Add a nude eyeshadow, highlight, and a slightly deeper crease with black liquid liner (perhaps winged) and lots of mascara. A nude blush (or no blush as I like it) would work well with this look.

Love your blog and just discovered it recently!
I am a bit of a makeup newbie in my late 20s and do not go beyond the basics of lipstick, lipliner, eyeliner and mascara. I started using Bare Minerals and find it reasonably good at concealing/evening skin tone.
I have a couple of requests for you.
1. Can you recommend a good, yet cheap, eye cream? I tried a couple of drugstore brands but am not convinced any of them work at all (reducing fine lines? dark circles? moisturizing?).
2. I used Bare Minerals' primer called Bare Vitamins Skin Rev-er Upper, which I liked. But I'd like to try a different skin prep if you have suggestions?
3. You dont mention sunscreen in your looks and I am uncertain about how to layer it under: moisturizer/skin prep/powder foundation. What order should I go in? Or should I use one product that is a moisturizer and skin prep and sunscreen in one?
