My Newest Obsession: The Sally Hansen Natural Beauty Line Inspired by Carmindy

Yes it's been a while but I just got done with a huge test that I was preparing for, well, two long years. Keep your fingers crossed for me. While I wait not-so-eagerly for my test results let me tell you about the newest gems that I am in love with. I know I was MIA for a loooong while but I will respond to my emails and requests starting tomorrow. Thanks for bearing with me.

Sally Hansen Luminous Matte Pressed Powder

I've worn this down to nothing. Yes ladies and gentleladies, I have been using this pressed powder for a while and I am almost close to finishing the product. This pressed powder is incredibly natural looking and velvety smooth on application. As contradictory as the name sounds, luminous matte that is, the product lives up to the name. The powder gives medium coverage which you can sheer out if needed. The look I get is a sophisticated matte which doesn't make my skin look dry and actually looks like skin.

The powder lasts throughout the day and doesn't look cakey and doesn't seem to settle anywhere either. In fact it lasted through a long, very warm day and it was still traceably present at the end of the day. The products I have tried so far from the Sally Hansen Natural Beauty line have really exceeded my expectations and rank above some of the other lines I use (If you're willing to bear the controversy of it all, I prefer this line over MAC and Lancome at the moment).

Rave: Bliss Triple Oxygen Energizing Mask

While I wilt away slowly on my comps, let me just tell you that it's torture and my lenses won't stay in my eyes because my eyes are so dry. So during those wee hours in the morning where I forgot to put my night cream and my skin looks sallow and dull (I could be mistaken for a long dead mummy or the rotting bark of a tree at this point, whichever is more dead), I started using the Bliss Triple Oxygen Energizing Mask.

I will admit I always bypassed Bliss products but after consistently using this mask for the past few weeks I cannot stop raving about it. The Sephora website lists that the mask contains oxygen, vitamin c, time-released antioxidants, and moisturizers which all sounds great. The mask is easy to apply and I wet my face and massage the mask into my skin and wait for frothing action to start. The mask froths and seems to clean my face well and gives me a great glow. It's also a great mask to apply at the beginning of the shower and wash off towards the end.

At first, I didn't really see much of a difference. But with exams being stressful I kept to using this mask in an effort to perk up my skin. After consistent use, my skin got this great glow and felt well cleaned. My skin also feels soft, supple, and moisturized after using the mask. The effects last a good two days after which I slather on the mask again.

This is a great mask to use between facials. It's incredibly gentle and doesn't break my skin out and calms my skin during periods of stress and dryness. For me, I've decided it needs to stay in my arsenal at all times. It's a great mask when you've not slept in days (or weeks) and need to look halfway human in less than 10 minutes.

Update: Dying Over My Comps

I know I've been very MIA lately but I have my comprehensive exams on the 19th of this month. I'm in a zombie state of sleeplessness and nerves. If all goes well no more exams for a while for me. After my comps I'll have a bunch of things up, but until then radical thoughts of burning textbooks it is.
